The National Center for Meteorology issued a red alert for the Riyadh region, expecting - God willing - heavy rainfall including Al-Zulfi, Al-Ghat, Al-Majma’ah and Shaqra, starting from Sunday evening until Monday afternoon.

The center explained that the accompanying weather conditions include high-speed winds, zero horizontal visibility, hail, flash floods, and thunderstorms, calling on everyone to take precautions and follow safety instructions.

The Meteorology Department stressed the importance of staying away from flood channels and water accumulations, and following updates through official channels to maintain public safety.
