The Arab Weather app indicated in its latest update issued this morning, Thursday, September 24, 2025, that large parts of northern Saudi Arabia will be affected by more moderate weather over the weekend. This coincides with the arrival of an autumnal air mass coming from the eastern Mediterranean basin towards the region, accompanied by rainfall and a drop in temperatures.
Meteorologists at the Arab Weather app reported that although rain hasn't reached the northern regions of Saudi Arabia, temperatures will drop significantly in some areas over the weekend, particularly in parts of Al-Jawf and the Northern Borders, including Sakaka and Arar. The weather will be relatively hot during the day and moderate to relatively cool at night.
The Arab Weather app also predicts that cold weather, as cold as winter, will prevail in the Tabuk Mountains, especially Thursday night and Friday morning. Temperatures are expected to drop significantly, reaching 8 degrees Celsius. This calls for tent and campervan enthusiasts to wear appropriate clothing to deal with the chill.
Arab Weather Advice:
It's recommended to monitor weather updates daily, especially when traveling to the mountainous regions in the north of the Kingdom, and to take precautions against the cold at night at high altitudes.
