Saudi Arabia this week | Thunderstorms across wide areas and a cold air mass reaching its peak impact by the end of the week

The Kingdom will be affected this week by an unstable weather system, with thunderstorms expected across large parts of the country, as a cold air mass reaches its peak impact at the end of the week, leading to a noticeable drop in temperatures, especially in the capital, Riyadh, on Thursday and Friday.

• Sunday: Clouds will appear and limited local showers of rain will fall on parts of Riyadh and the Eastern Province during the afternoon and evening hours.
• Monday: The chances of rainfall will increase, becoming moderate to heavy at times, over parts of Riyadh, Qassim, and the Eastern Province, accompanied by lightning, thunder, and hail showers. This also includes parts of Hail, Jazan, Asir, and Al-Baha.
