Arab Weather - The latest outputs of numerical weather models processed by the Arab Weather Center indicate that Iraq will be affected by two air depressions toward the end of the week, one in the upper atmosphere and the other a deep thermal air depression. These weather systems are resulting in numerous distinct weather fluctuations.
In detail, Iraq will be affected on Thursday by a deep surface low pressure system resulting from increased air heating near the Earth's surface. This will lead to temperatures rising to the mid-forties Celsius in Baghdad, with active winds during the afternoon and evening hours, causing dense dust waves in many areas, from the western regions to the center of the country and the capital, Baghdad, especially in the evening and night, God willing.
Iraq will be affected by a colder-than-usual air mass starting Friday, leading to a significant drop in temperatures in the northern, western, and central regions, while temperatures remain high in the south. A strong sandstorm is also expected to accompany the passage of this autumnal air mass, increasing dust in most northern, western, and central regions of the country, including the capital, Baghdad. The Arab Weather Center warns of strong winds, especially in the western regions, which could lead to reduced or zero horizontal visibility.
God willing, medium- and low-altitude clouds are expected to appear on Friday, providing a chance for scattered showers of rain in parts of the northern mountainous border regions. This is the first chance of rain of the fall season, which is unusual for this time of year.
Nighttime temperatures on Friday/Saturday nights will drop compared to previous nights, with moderate weather in the western regions, pleasant to relatively cold in the northern highlands, and moderate elsewhere. Nighttime temperatures in Baghdad will hover around the twenties during the late hours.
And God knows best.
