و شهدت مناطق واسعة في العراق و شبه الجزيرة العربية و بلاد فارس نشاطاً لما يُعرف محلياً برياح البوارح و التي تشكّل على إثرها عواصف رملية قوية خلال الفترة الماضية غطت مئات الاف الكيلومترات المُربعة.
