Kuwait tops the list of the highest temperatures recorded globally in the last 24 hours.

Arab Weather - The Jahra region in Kuwait recorded the highest temperature on Earth on Monday afternoon, June 16, 2025, reaching 52 degrees Celsius.

This comes as the heat dome continues to affect the Arabian Peninsula, leading to continued heating of the Earth's surface amidst the presence of a high-pressure system in the upper atmosphere. This prevents air from rising and traps it between the upper and lower atmospheres, significantly increasing the temperature of the air near the Earth's surface.

The list of the 10 highest temperatures recorded around the world included several countries and was as follows:
