The National Center for Meteorology predicted in its daily report that the state of atmospheric instability will continue in a number of regions of the Kingdom, where - God willing - moderate to heavy thunderstorms will fall, which may lead to flash floods, and will be accompanied by showers of hail and active winds that will stir up dust and sand.
The weather conditions include the regions of: the Northern Borders, the Eastern Region, Riyadh, Qassim, Hail, and the eastern parts of the Makkah region. The report also indicated the appearance of rain-bearing thunderclouds over parts of the Al-Baha, Asir, Jazan, and Najran regions, with the sky remaining partly cloudy at times.
Regarding surface winds in the Red Sea, northwesterly to northerly winds will blow at speeds of 25 to 45 km/h in the northern and central parts, and southeasterly to southerly winds at speeds of 20 to 40 km/h in the southern part, reaching speeds of up to 50 km/h towards the Bab el-Mandeb Strait. Wave heights are expected to be between one and two meters, potentially reaching two and a half meters towards the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, with sea conditions being moderate. In the Arabian Gulf, surface winds will be northeasterly to northerly at speeds of 20 to 42 km/h, with the possibility of exceeding 50 km/h during the formation of thunderstorms and rain in the northern and central parts. Wave heights are expected to be between half a meter and one and a half meters, potentially exceeding two meters, with sea conditions being slight to moderate during the passage of thunderstorms.
