The latest satellite images show that a tropical depression continues to center in the northeastern Arabian Sea, accompanied by large amounts of clouds, cumulus clouds, heavy rains, and winds, negatively impacting maritime navigation.

Report No. (2) on the tropical situation in the Arabian Sea

For its part, the National Multi-Hazard Early Warning Center in the Sultanate of Oman issued Report No. 2 on developments in the tropical situation in the Arabian Sea, which stated:

The latest satellite images and analyses by the National Multi-Hazard Early Warning Center indicate that the tropical depression is centered northeast of the Arabian Sea at longitude 68.2 east and latitude 20.7 north, with wind speeds around the center estimated at 20-27 knots (37-50 km/h).

Forecasts indicate that the tropical depression will continue moving southwestward toward the central Arabian Sea, with the possibility of it developing over the next 48 hours. There will be no direct impact on the Sultanate of Oman over the next three days, with the possibility of high and medium clouds flowing in.

Specialists at the National Multi-Hazard Early Warning Center are monitoring the latest developments around the clock, and the Civil Aviation Authority stresses the need to monitor weather bulletins and reports issued by it.
