Arab Weather - Iraq has been affected since last night, Thursday/Friday night, by a state of atmospheric instability that resulted in the proliferation of clouds and rainfall of varying intensity in the western regions of the country, specifically Anbar Governorate and the Rutba region, accompanied by hail showers, especially in the areas adjacent to the Jordanian-Iraqi border at dawn today.

God willing, the country is expected to be affected more during the coming hours, specifically in the afternoon hours, by the rainy conditions and the upper air depression will pass, accompanied by the flow of very cold and Siberian winds in the lower layers of the atmosphere, where the amount of clouds will increase and rain will fall on wide areas, including the capital Baghdad. The rain will be heavy at times, especially in the northern regions, and will be in the form of snow on the northern mountain peaks in the border areas adjacent to Iran and Kuwait.

Due to the flow of cold Siberian winds in the lower layers of the atmosphere, it is expected that the rainfall will turn into freezing rain or snow showers mixed with rain from time to time in some areas, especially the northern and western ones, during the passage of the upper air depression.
