موقع ArabiaWeather.com– تعرضت عموم منطقة القصيم ومدينة بريدة بشكلٍ خاص لهطولات مطرية شديدة الغزارة، عملت على رفع منسوب المياه وتشكل الفيضانات المحلية في بعض المناطق.

 

وتداول ناشطون عبر "تويتر" مقطع فيديو يُظهر غرق شارع عمر بن الخطاب الطريق الرئيسي في شمال بريدة نتيجة الامطار الغزيرة التي انهمرت عليها بكثافة وخلال فترة زمنية  قصيرة .

 

وترجع هذه التقلبات الجوية إلى بداية تأثر المنطقة بالحالة المطرية " سابغة "، وهي ناتجة عن تموضع أخدود علوي بارد في وضعية نادرة الحدوث ممتداً من شرق الخليج العربي حتى وسط السعودية، ومصحوباً بتحرك التيار النفاث شبه المداري جنوباً حتى منتصف السعودية، ومترافقاً مع تمدد منخفض السودان شمالاً، حيث يمد المنطقة بكتلة هوائية مدارية دافئة ورطبة؛ مما ينتج عنه حالة عدم الإستقرار لهذه الحالة المطرية التي تم تسميتها بـ "سابغة" .
