موقع ArabiaWeather.com- أعلنت السلطات السيرلانكية عن تضاؤل آمالها في العثور على 150 شخصا طُمروا تحت الأوحال والركام عقب انهيارين أرضيين حدثا نتيجة الأمطار الغزيرة التي تؤثر على البلاد.

 

وذكرت وسائل الإعلام المحلية أن الأمطارالغزيرة أعاقت عمليات الإنقاذ، مشيرة إلى ارتفاع عدد القتلى جراء الكارثة إلى 41 قتيلا، وفقا لـ "رويترز".

 

وأجبرت الأمطار الغزيرة أكثر من 300 ألف شخص على إخلاء منازلهم في مناطق عدة من سيرلانكا. ورجح المسؤول عن عملية الإنقاذ الميجر جنرال سودانتا راناسينغ أن ترتفع حصيلة القتلى بشكل كبير.
