Arab Weather - The latest weather analyses at the Arab Weather Center indicate the formation of a hot, widespread air mass over the eastern Mediterranean. The intensity of its impact will vary from one region to another and from day to day, depending on local and geographical factors.
The hot air mass affects various regions of the Levant, where the weather is generally hot, while it is extremely hot in the lowlands and desert areas. The eastern parts of Syria and Jordan are among the areas most affected by this mass, with temperatures exceeding normal levels for this time of year.
The core of the hot air mass is expected to center over Iraq, leading to a markedly intensified heat wave, especially in the central and southern regions, including the capital, Baghdad. Forecasts indicate that temperatures could exceed 50 degrees Celsius in some areas.
The effects of the heat mass will also extend to the rest of the Arabian Peninsula, where temperatures are expected to approach 50°C in the eastern region of Saudi Arabia, as well as in the interior regions of the Sultanate of Oman and the United Arab Emirates. In the rest of the peninsula, the weather is expected to be extremely hot with milder temperatures.
In Egypt, a hot air mass is generally dominant, particularly in the north of the country and the Delta, where temperatures are expected to reach the mid-forties Celsius, with extremely hot weather across various regions.
General recommendations:
Avoid direct and prolonged exposure to sunlight.
Drink plenty of fluids and avoid strenuous activities during the afternoon hours.
Be careful not to leave children inside closed vehicles.
Beware of the effects of the heat wave on patients with heart and respiratory diseases.
And God knows best.
