Arab Weather - Weather specialists are monitoring what the latest weather maps indicate regarding the possibility of North Africa and the Levant, including Jordan, being affected by the approach of a new Khamsin depression on Saturday, which will lead to a significant rise in temperatures and the possibility of dust storms over North Africa, parts of the Arabian Peninsula, and southern Jordan.

A new Khamsin depression on Saturday will raise temperatures and push dust, especially towards the south of the Kingdom.

In detail, it is expected, God willing, that a new Khamsin low-pressure system will approach the region on Saturday, which, God willing, will lead to a significant and noticeable rise in temperatures, to be higher than their usual averages for this time of year, to be around 30 degrees Celsius, with relatively hot to hot weather prevailing in most areas.

The winds will be moderate southwesterly in general, becoming noticeably active during the afternoon and evening hours, accompanied by strong gusts that stir up dust and sand to varying degrees, leading to a decrease in horizontal visibility in some areas, especially in the south of the Kingdom, while the effects of dust will remain less severe in the central and northern parts of the Kingdom.

Temperatures will drop again on Sunday, with rain possible in some areas.

Forecasts indicate an increased chance of atmospheric instability starting from the early hours of Sunday. Clouds are expected to increase at different altitudes, and there is a chance of rain in some areas, possibly accompanied by lightning and thunder in limited areas.
