Arab Weather - Weather experts at Arab Weather said that several Arab countries will, God willing, join the global cold waves that the world has been witnessing recently, as a result of being affected by the extension of the Siberian high pressure system, accompanied by a very cold air mass.
Experts explained that the impact of this cold wave includes large areas of the northern Mediterranean, extending to the Levant, including Syria, Lebanon, Palestine and Jordan, reaching Iraq, in addition to large parts of Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, and extending towards Qatar and Bahrain.
In detail, God willing, a noticeable drop in temperatures is expected on Tuesday, continuing through Wednesday, Thursday and the end of the week, with nighttime temperatures dropping to around zero degrees Celsius or below in several of these countries, with the possibility of frost and freezing in several areas.
These extremely cold conditions include the capitals of the Levant, in addition to the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, while temperatures are expected to be slightly above zero degrees Celsius in both the Kuwaiti capital and the Saudi capital, Riyadh, while the conditions will be relatively less cold in the capitals of Qatar and Bahrain, due to their geographical location being further away from the center of the extremely cold air mass.
Experts indicated that this cold wave is not expected to be accompanied by snowfall in most of the affected areas, with the exception of northern Iraq, where heavy snowfall is expected, in addition to areas of northern Syria, God willing, as a result of the availability of sufficient moisture and the interaction of suitable weather factors.
