Early Sunday morning, an earthquake measuring 3.9 on the Richter scale was recorded, centered in the village of Ras al-Ain in the Yabroud-Qalamoun region of rural Damascus, at 1:27 AM.
In this context, the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority reported that “the epicenter of the earthquake is located near the city of Douma in the Damascus countryside,” noting that “residents of a number of surrounding areas felt the tremor, without any reports of material or human damage so far.”
