Arab Weather - The Ministry of Health announced today that 44 cases of heat exhaustion were recorded due to the high temperatures during the Hajj season. These cases were dealt with according to approved medical protocols, as part of the Kingdom's integrated healthcare system to ensure the safety and comfort of pilgrims while performing the rituals.

The ministry explained that the total number of health services provided to pilgrims since the beginning of the season has exceeded 91,000. Emergency departments at hospitals and health centers have received more than 22,000 visitors, while 4,119 cases have been admitted and provided with the necessary specialized care, including critical care and delicate surgical procedures.

16 open-heart surgeries and 145 cardiac catheterizations were also performed as part of the specialized treatment services provided to pilgrims.

The Ministry emphasized the continuation of its efforts through its hospitals and centers spread throughout Makkah and the holy sites, affirming its full readiness to handle all emergency and critical cases, as part of a comprehensive health plan designed to meet the requirements of the Hajj season.
