The center explained that this monitoring comes within the efforts to preserve biodiversity in protected areas, which reflects the beauty of wildlife in Saudi Arabia.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><h2 style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> First appearance of the sand cat in the Ibex Reserve</h2><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> Last February, the center announced the first sighting of the sand cat in the Ibex Reserve, highlighting the protection efforts and initiatives aimed at preserving endangered wildlife and rehabilitating ecosystems.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> In December 2020, the center stated via its account on the &quot;X&quot; platform that the sand cat lives in sandy areas, and is characterized by its great ability to adapt to conditions of water and food shortages. Its color is yellowish-gray with wide stripes on the extremities.
