Media briefing about the new Coronavirus (COVID-19) in Jordan

Injuries, recovery and examinations:

Today, 206 cases of the new Corona virus were recorded, as follows:

(197) local cases were distributed as follows:

- (136) cases in the Capital Amman Governorate, of which (60) cases were in contact with previous injured, and (76) cases are under investigation.

- (33) cases in Al-Balqa governorate, mixed with previous injured.

- (9) cases in Karak governorate, mixing with previous injured.

- (9) cases in Irbid governorate, mixed with previous injured.

- (7) cases in Zarqa Governorate, close to the previous injured.

- (3) cases in Madaba governorate, contact with previous injured.

- (9) External cases, among those coming from abroad, who stay in quarantine hotels.

This brings the total number of cases in the Kingdom to (2,945) cases.

- (103) recoveries were recorded today, (13) in Prince Hamzah Hospital, and (90) in the area for isolating the injured in the Dead Sea.

(18007) laboratory tests were performed, bringing the total number of tests to (959025).

Other actions:

In light of the unprecedented increase in the number of local injuries, the Ministry of Health calls on everyone to adhere to Defense Order No. (11) of 2020 AD, to follow safety and prevention standards, wear masks, and not hold gatherings of more than (20) people, use the (safety) app, and apply (Your health).
