Arab Weather - Meteorological monitoring stations are currently recording high temperatures approaching 40 degrees Celsius in several neighborhoods of the capital, Amman, amid hot and exhausting weather. At the same time, Queen Alia International Airport is recording temperatures reaching 41 degrees Celsius at two o'clock in the afternoon.

Temperatures in Amman are higher than in Aqaba!

Meanwhile, Aqaba is currently recording 36 degrees Celsius, lower than the temperature recorded in the capital, Amman. This is because hot air is less dense and rises upward, making its impact greater in higher elevations, including the capital, than in lower-lying areas like Aqaba.

The source and path of the extremely hot air mass also play a significant role. This mass is coming from the east across the Arabian Peninsula, making some cities and regions along its path more vulnerable to rising temperatures.
