Jordan | From the archive.. Advanced low pressure system and rainfall exceeding 100 mm in the Good Week of 2021

<p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"><strong>Arab Weather -</strong> After the scattered rains on Tuesday morning, we go back in memory and the climate archive to the year 2021, specifically the month of December, in which the Kingdom witnessed a state of noticeable and successive weather activity that ended with recording rainfall amounts exceeding 100 mm in the west of the capital, Amman.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><h2 style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> <strong>Details of the Good Week in 2021 and the highest amount of rainfall recorded:</strong></h2><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> The Kingdom witnessed an excellent rainy period starting from Friday 12/17/2021, in the form of humid western air currents, which continued until Saturday and brought showers of rain to parts of the Kingdom, and the weather stabilized temporarily on Sunday.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> <a href="https://www.arabiaweather.com/ar/%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B7%D9%82%D8%B3-%D9%84%D... Day Weather in Amman, Jordan</strong></a></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> The Kingdom was also affected since Monday morning 12/20/2021 by the first third-degree air depression of the season, as a cold air front crossed in the morning, bringing rain to the north and center of the Kingdom, and snow fell over the mountainous heights and accumulated to a limited extent. The main air front crossed in the evening and night, accompanied by heavy rain.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> The depression was followed by long-term, humid westerly air currents that caused intermittent rainfall until Friday evening, 12/24/2021. The meteorological stations affiliated with the Arab Weather Center recorded large amounts of rainfall, considered the highest since the beginning of the rainy season, the highest of which was in the west of the capital, Amman, at 107.2 mm (the highest rainfall). This amount of rainfall in the week of goodness that year was a good boost to the rainy season and worked to improve its performance.</p>
