Weather of Arabia - The Ministry of Public Works and Housing confirmed that all roads within its jurisdiction, especially external roads in various regions of the Kingdom, are passable, with the exception of desert roads between the Al-Hasa and Al-Obeid regions, which are passable with caution due to dust resulting from the active winds witnessed in various regions of the Kingdom.

The ministry said in a press statement issued by the Media and Communication Unit, that no road within its jurisdiction was closed due to the prevailing weather conditions until 7 pm today, Friday, indicating that all external roads in the Kingdom’s regions witness dust formation from time to time due to wind speed.

She explained that if any road is closed as a result of weather conditions, the closure is carried out through the partners in the Public Security Directorate working in the field, according to their assessment, in coordination with the ministry’s cadres working in the field, in a precautionary and temporary manner, to ensure the safety of road pedestrians.

The ministry renewed its call to citizens traveling on external roads and roads within its jurisdiction of the possibility of low horizontal visibility as a result of heavy rains, and the possibility of dust forming on roads in the Badia regions; Coinciding with the weather conditions prevailing in most regions of the Kingdom, confirming its readiness to deal with all weather conditions and to address the observations received for emergency rooms immediately, 24 hours a day.

She stressed that coordination is taking place on a permanent basis with the ministry's partners to work on resolving and addressing all observations periodically to maintain the sustainability of services provided to citizens, in accordance with the government approach.

The Ministry appreciated the efforts of its cadres working in the field during the prevailing weather conditions, praising the partners’ efforts and cooperation with the Ministry to resolve and address any observation received immediately.
