Public Security: Four members of one family died as a result of a gas leak from a heater in Zarqa Governorate.

The media spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate said that four people from one family died this evening as a result of respiratory distress caused by a gas leak from a heater in the Al-Hashimiyah area of Zarqa Governorate.

The ambulance teams in the Zarqa Civil Defense Directorate worked to evacuate the deceased to Zarqa Governmental Hospital.

The Public Security Directorate reiterates its emphasis on the need for the safe and proper use of heating appliances, checking the gas hoses connecting the cylinder to the heater body regularly, replacing the leakage preventer with every cylinder replacement, ventilating the house from time to time, and not leaving the heater on while sleeping, urging everyone to follow these steps and not be lenient with them.
