Riyadh: The first chance of thunderstorms in the capital, Riyadh, within the year 1445 AH, is expected at the end of the week.

Weather of Arabia - The latest weather maps through computer simulation models indicate increasing indicators that many governorates of Riyadh, including the capital, will be affected on Wednesday and Thursday, November 1 and 2, by widespread weather disturbances. Resulting from the crossing of an air depression in the high layers of the Kingdom’s atmosphere, coinciding with a surface response to the so-called Red Sea depression and an influx of moisture with sub-tropical characteristics towards the region.

It is expected, God willing, gradually during the day on Wednesday that unstable weather conditions will begin in the north of the Riyadh region administratively, especially after the noon hours, accompanied by thunderstorms in separate areas of the north of the region. It is not unlikely that chances of rain will affect neighborhoods of the capital as it passes. Night hours, rain is sometimes accompanied by thunderstorms, and winds are very active and temporary while crossing cumulus clouds.

As for Thursday, the depression is expected to deepen into the high layers of the atmosphere over the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, so that weather disturbances will intensify in many parts of the region, especially the northern governorates, so that some heavy rainfall will occur in narrow and scattered geographical areas in general, and the capital, Riyadh, will be increasingly affected by the rainfall. It rained on more than one occasion from Thursday, especially the period extending from the afternoon hours until the early hours of the night.
