Saudi Arabia: Areas affected by rain chances today, Sunday 8/24/2025

Arab Weather - The latest weather forecasts from Arab Weather indicate that parts of the southwest of the Kingdom will continue to be affected by seasonal rains on Sunday, accompanied by the formation of high-altitude thunderclouds concentrated in the southwest of the Kingdom.

Areas covered by rain chances

During the afternoon and evening hours, cumulonimbus clouds are expected to begin pouring into the highlands of Jazan, Asir, and parts of eastern Najran. The rain clouds will then extend to parts of Al-Baha and the Makkah region, especially the city of Taif. Areas of Jazan and Asir are expected to witness the development of high-altitude thunderclouds, accompanied by varying degrees of rainfall and hail.

Later, these rain clouds are likely to extend to some areas in Medina, but they will be less severe than in the rest of the regions, resulting in light to moderate rainfall.

Arab Weather forecasters said that thunderstorms are expected to be accompanied by strong winds and downdrafts, which will sometimes lead to dust storms that reduce horizontal visibility. These clouds are also expected to be accompanied by thunderstorms and possibly large hail, especially in the southwest of the Kingdom. And God knows best.
