One is a heat depression accompanied by hot weather and sandstorms, while the other is a cold winter depression bringing heavy rains and a significant drop in temperatures, especially in the country's northern regions.

Monday: A heat depression accompanied by a significant rise in temperatures and dust, with the emergence of some unstable weather conditions.

The weather forecast for Monday, April 14, 2025, shows a noticeable rise in temperatures, slightly above average for this time of year. The weather will be relatively hot and dusty to varying degrees, with some unstable weather conditions. Clouds will increase, and showers of rain are likely to fall, distributed randomly, sometimes accompanied by thunder.

Winds will be active, leading to strong sandstorms in many areas, especially central and southern Iraq.

Monday night into Tuesday: The heat wave moves away from Iraq, and a cold air mass begins to affect the country.

During the night hours of Monday to Tuesday, the heat depression will move away from Iraq, and a cold air mass will rush behind it, coming from the eastern Mediterranean basin.

Temperatures will drop significantly, starting from the western regions and extending throughout the country during the late night and early morning hours, and the weather will turn generally cold.

Tuesday: A low-pressure system will affect northern Iraq, bringing cold and rainy winter weather and strong winds that will cause dust storms in the rest of the region.

On Tuesday, April 15, 2025, temperatures will drop sharply and significantly, becoming cooler than usual for this time of year by about 8 to 10 degrees Celsius. The northern and western regions will be affected by a cold air mass accompanied by a low-pressure system, and cold, changeable winter weather will prevail, ranging from partly cloudy to cloudy, with intermittent rain showers, sometimes heavy, accompanied by thunderstorms and hail.
