Rare event.. Rainfall at a level that occurs only once every thousand years due to Hurricane Milton
Arab Weather - Initially, Hurricane Milton swept the coast of Florida with winds exceeding 100 miles per hour (160 kilometers per hour), causing power lines to fall and structures and trees to be destroyed in its path. The hurricane caused widespread damage, especially along the state's west coast.
Unprecedented heavy rains due to Hurricane Milton
St. Petersburg and Tampa saw unusually high rainfall, exceeding 18 inches (about half a meter), a level of rainfall that occurs only once every thousand years in that area. In Clearwater Beach, more than 14 inches (35 centimeters) of rain was reported, causing significant flooding in low-lying areas.
High waters flooded the streets of Fort Myers, Florida, as Hurricane Milton made landfall Wednesday evening as an “extremely dangerous” Category 3 storm. Milton is now a Category 1 hurricane as it passes through the panhandle.

Where is hurricane milton now?
As Hurricane Milton moved east-northeast across Florida, its strength began to wane. This decrease in intensity was due to the loss of its energy source in the Gulf of Mexico, as well as friction that occurs as it interacts with land. However, the hurricane maintained Category 1 strength, with winds reaching 90 mph (145 km/h) across the state.
Although it weakened, the storm was still massive, with most of Florida feeling its effects. The effects of the rain and wind extended to Georgia and South Carolina, indicating the size and power of the storm were not limited to Florida alone.
