Ajloun: Heavy rains herald the bursting of springs and a good agricultural season

<p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr">Weather of Arabia - The heavy rainfall that Ajloun Governorate witnessed contributed to increasing the water reserve in dams and springs, which paves the way for the eruption of water springs and heralds an improvement in the agricultural season in the governorate.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"><br /> The valleys witnessed the Al-Fawwar spring in Ain Janna, Ain Al-Alqah in Baa’un, Umm Qasim in Rajab, Al-Ain Al-Bayda in Arjan, the spring of Ain Abu Al-Joud, Al-Salos in Anjara, and the mills. A rise in water levels, which reflects positively on the agricultural season.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"><br /> Ajloun Agriculture Director, Engineer Rami Al-Adwan, explained the importance of continuous rainfall in increasing the flow of valleys and springs and saturating the soil with water, which contributes to the production of multiple forest and irrigated agricultural crops in addition to providing natural pastures for livestock.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"><br /> He pointed out the importance of investing rainfall for the purposes of water harvesting and the success of field crops on which farmers depend and making wells to store water to be used for drinking and agriculture. He stressed the Directorate’s keenness to cooperate with all concerned parties to intensify control over forests to prevent encroachments, especially during the winter season, which some exploit to cut down trees and use them for heating purposes. .</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"><br /> Citizen Omar Al-Sammadi said that the amounts of rain that fell revive hopes for improving the level of water reserves and providing good pastures, in addition to their good effects on the agricultural seasons, which are a source of livelihood for many families.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> Petra News Agency</p>
