Arab Weather - As May 2025 begins, weather forecasts indicate that a high pressure system will continue to dominate parts of the central, eastern, and southern parts of the Kingdom, with its concentration in the southern and eastern parts of the country. This will impose hot weather and temperatures in the forties, including in the capital, Riyadh, due to the continued flow of warm southern air currents from the south.

Weather fluctuations affect some areas

Meanwhile, some weather fluctuations continue to dominate parts of the Kingdom, with upper waves continuing to cross the northern Arabian Peninsula coming from the Levant, disrupting atmospheric pressures in conjunction with the flow of moist currents in the upper atmosphere coming from the south.

Weather fluctuations are expected to bring unstable weather conditions and the formation of cumulus clouds in some areas in the southwest and west of the Kingdom, and scattered areas in the central and eastern regions. These will take the form of random thunderstorms accompanied by active winds that stir up dust during the passage of the cumulus clouds, or what is known as descending winds.
