Arab Weather - Weather maps at the Arab Weather Regional Center indicate that the Kingdom will be affected on Sunday and Monday by a relatively hot to hot air mass coming from the Arabian Peninsula. As a result, temperatures will temporarily rise to above average for this time of year, with the peak of the temperature increase expected on Monday, God willing.
In detail: The Kingdom will be affected starting Sunday, and will increase on Monday, by a relatively hot to hot air mass. Therefore, temperatures will rise to be 7-9 degrees Celsius higher than their average for this time of year. The weather will be relatively hot over the mountainous heights, and hot in the rest of the regions, while it will be extremely hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, Aqaba, and the eastern Badia regions.
Experts reported that maximum temperatures in major cities and the capital, Amman, will be between the early and mid-thirties Celsius during the period of influence of the relatively hot air mass, while they will reach the mid-forties Celsius in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and the city of Aqaba, in addition to large parts of the eastern Badia.
Nighttime temperatures will also rise compared to previous nights, with moderate weather in the western regions and eastern plains of the Kingdom, while warm in the rest of the Kingdom, especially during the early night hours.
For their part, meteorologists at the Arab Weather Center confirmed that weather maps indicate that hot air is approaching the Kingdom, but that it is not penetrating deep enough to cause a heat wave or raise temperatures to very high levels. Consequently, there are no signs of heat waves in Jordan in the coming days, despite the rising temperatures.
The reason for the expansion of hot air to the Kingdom and the Levant is the rush of a cooler-than-usual air mass from the European continent to North Africa, forcing the hot air to extend towards the Kingdom and the Levant.
It is noteworthy that temperatures will gradually decrease again, God willing, starting from Tuesday.
And God knows best.
