Arab Weather - Several countries in southern and central Europe are currently experiencing the effects of a late-season low-pressure system, bringing heavy rains, violent thunderstorms, and strong winds, amid warnings of flooding, torrential rains, and landslides.

A low-pressure system over the western Mediterranean is causing widespread unrest in Europe.

According to analyses by the Arab Weather Regional Center, a cold air mass has pushed from northern and western Europe toward the southern and central regions of the continent, leading to the formation of a low-pressure system over the Tyrrhenian Sea, which lies northwest of the Mediterranean.

This depression was accompanied by warm, humid air currents rushing from North Africa toward the Mediterranean Basin, exacerbating weather disturbances over countries such as Italy, Austria, Switzerland, and Slovenia, as well as some areas of southern Germany.

Cold upper basins over the European continent are met by warm surface air currents, causing heavy rain waves.

Meteorologists at the Arab Weather Center reported that the European continent, especially its central and southern regions, is exposed to unusual upper air systems for this time of year, as cold upper basins frequently rush in, branching off from cold air masses in northern Europe and the Atlantic Ocean. These air currents, with high surface heating, merge with cold, humid upper air, producing sometimes severe rain waves in several European countries, including the Balkan countries, accompanied by hail, flooding, and rising water levels.

And God knows best.
