Weather of Arabia - Astronomer Imad Mujahid , who is considered a member of the Arab Union for Space and Astronomy, and a fellow of the British Royal Astronomical Society, said that the sky will witness a total solar eclipse, the first this year, on Monday evening, corresponding to 4/8/2024 , which means that the birth of Next month of Shawwal, it will be visible with the naked eye.
Mujahid pointed out that the eclipse will reach its midpoint at 9:18 pm Jordan time, but it will not be seen in any Arab or Islamic country, as the upcoming solar eclipse can only be seen in Canada, the United States of America, and Mexico.
The solar eclipse is considered one of the visible evidences of the birth of the crescent and the beginning of the new month, as the moon is not seen when it is in conjunction, that is, in birth, except in one case, which is the event of a solar eclipse, which leads to the formation of the crescent of the month of Shawwal based on that.
He said that the eclipse has no impact on people's lives, and is not a cause or indication of the occurrence of natural disasters.
