Arab Weather - Computer simulation maps at the Arab Weather Center indicate that many Arab countries will be affected by a state of atmospheric instability during the coming days, resulting from the approach of a cold air mass in the upper layers of the atmosphere coming from the west, coinciding with the presence of warm and humid air currents in the lower layers, which leads to the emergence of unstable weather conditions in wide areas.
We begin with the forecasts from Sunday, April 26, 2026, when unstable weather is expected to begin to settle over large areas of the Levant and Iraq, with thunderstorms developing more clearly over Syria and Iraq, extending locally and in a limited way to parts of Jordan, Lebanon and Palestine, with chances of thunderstorms in some areas.
On Monday, the atmospheric instability will intensify, encompassing large areas of the Levant, including Jordan and Palestine, in addition to the continued effects on Iraq and parts of the Arabian Peninsula, particularly Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, according to the National Center there, with clear thunderstorm activity expected in several areas, God willing.
On Tuesday, the situation will be more concentrated on Iraq, Syria and the Syrian Desert regions, with a decrease in the effects on the Arabian Peninsula.
This situation is accompanied by several weather phenomena, most notably thunderstorms of varying intensity that may be locally heavy, in addition to sudden downdrafts that may cause dust storms and sandstorms in some areas, with the possibility of hail showers of varying sizes within narrow geographical areas.
And God knows best.
