Egypt: Areas most vulnerable to heavy fog in the coming days

Arab Weather - The latest updates from numerical simulation models at the Arab Weather Regional Center indicate a significant increase in the density of fog during the coming nights and early morning hours across large areas of northern Egypt.

According to meteorological analyses, ideal conditions are in place for dense fog to form due to the dominance of a surface high pressure system, which results in calm winds and high humidity levels. This, coupled with a drop in nighttime temperatures, allows moisture to condense into water mist and possibly dense fog in some areas.

Areas most prone to heavy fog:

Fog is expected to be heaviest on agricultural and expressways leading to and from Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt governorates, Canal cities, the North Coast, and parts of northern Upper Egypt.

Arab Weather warns drivers of significantly reduced horizontal visibility, especially during the early morning hours. It advises drivers to exercise caution while driving, leave sufficient distances between vehicles, and avoid using their high beams in areas with reduced visibility.

The fog is expected to continue for several days, with the possibility of increasing intensity over the weekend, depending on daily temperature and humidity changes.
