Egypt | Update 01:15 in the afternoon: a warning of a wave of dust rushing towards parts of Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt

Weather of Arabia - The latest satellite images show a heavy dust storm in several parts of Lower Egypt and Greater Cairo, with expectations of a significant decrease in the level of horizontal visibility.

During the next few hours, the dust wave is expected to expand to include large parts of the north of the country, represented by parts of the northern coast, Sinai, the cities of the Canal, the Delta and Greater Cairo, all the way to northern Upper Egypt.

It is noteworthy that the capital, Cairo, is witnessing during these moments a decrease in the level of horizontal visibility to below 2000 meters, with expectations of an additional decrease in the coming hours.

These conditions require attention from:

• Hazard of reduced horizontal visibility due to dust
• Risk of possible complications in patients with respiratory system and eyes due to dust
