Basra International Airport in Iraq recorded the highest temperature in the world in the past 24 hours, with a record temperature exceeding half the boiling point at 52.2 degrees Celsius, as Iraq continues to be affected by a severe heat wave.

Several Arab regions and countries were among the top 10 hottest regions worldwide, including six regions in Iraq and Kuwait International Airport, which recorded 50.1°C yesterday.
