Important: Arab countries are starting to switch to winter time. Will the weather change with the time?

Arab Weather - A number of Arab countries have announced winter time for 2025, while others have maintained their official time unchanged, in accordance with previous government decisions.

Countries that will implement winter time:

Tunisia : Resuming winter time starting September 1, 2025.

Egypt : Winter time will begin by setting back the clocks by 60 minutes at the end of the last Thursday in October, i.e., October 30, 2025, and the new time will be applied starting from the morning of Friday, October 31, 2025.

Lebanon : Winter time will begin at dawn on Sunday, October 26, 2025, by setting the clock back 60 minutes at midnight.

Palestine : Winter time will begin on Saturday, October 25, 2025, with clocks set back 60 minutes, starting at 2:00 AM.

Countries that do not change their time (fixed throughout the year):

Syria : Arabian Standard Time (UTC+03:00) throughout the year, after the abolition of winter time on October 4, 2022.

Jordan : No change, as winter time was abolished in 2022 and summer time was implemented year-round.

Iraq : Winter or summer time has not been applied since it was abolished in 2008.

Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Yemen : No time changes apply and adhere to Arabian Standard Time (UTC+03:00).

Saudi Arabia : The clock does not change, and the change is limited only to school and work hours.

UAE and Oman : No changes apply, UAE UTC+04:00 and Oman UTC+04:00 all year round.

Libya : Winter time has not been applied since the decision was rescinded in 2013.

Morocco and Algeria: They do not apply winter or summer time, and are always in UTC+01:00.

Winter time and its relationship to weather changes

The time typically changes as the season approaches, coinciding with the onset of changing weather patterns. As cold air gradually enters European countries and cooler air masses move toward Arab countries, the chances of weather fluctuations increase, including lower temperatures and precipitation in some areas.
