It is found in Al-Jafr and Azraq, especially Al-Shomary Wildlife Sanctuary and in Al-Safawi and Al-Ruwaished and most of the eastern regions of Jordan and in Karak and the south and east of the Dead Sea. Its toxin damages the red blood cells and the vascular network, and it causes bleeding in the sting area and in many areas of the body, and its poison works on blood clotting, but no deaths have yet been recorded as a result of this snake biting .
It is similar to bare or Al-Hanish, in terms of bright black color and general appearance, and although the genus is very toxic, the injuries resulting from it are few, because the naban has a somewhat short, and they cannot penetrate the clothes or shoes.
Silence is active at night and is found in Jerash, Zay, and the Jordan Valley farms, Ajloun, Wadi Araba, Aqaba and Azraq, and its toxicity is considered very dangerous, and it works on the respiratory system.

It was registered in a number of regions in Jordan, including Hamra Ma'in and the eastern and northern regions around the Dead Sea, the Mujib, Tafila, Wadi Al-Hussainiya and Dana protectorates .
