However, weather maps at the Arab Weather Center indicate that the Kingdom is being affected by a relatively hot air mass, with maximum temperatures exceeding 30 degrees Celsius in the capital, Amman, especially on Thursday.

The moderate air mass will move away and be replaced by a relatively hot one in the coming days.

In detail, computer simulations indicate that the moderate air mass will move away from the Kingdom starting Wednesday, replaced by a much warmer air mass coming from the Arabian Peninsula. Thursday, May 22, 2025: The Kingdom will be affected by a relatively hot and dry air mass accompanied by a high pressure system in the upper atmosphere, which will lead to a further rise in temperatures, approaching the mid-30s Celsius in the capital, Amman. The weather will be relatively hot to hot in general, and very hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, with temperatures approaching 40 Celsius in those areas.

The desert regions are most affected by this air mass, with maximum temperatures exceeding 40 degrees Celsius in those areas.
