Arab Weather - The Public Security Directorate has warned of a low-pressure system expected to affect the Kingdom starting tomorrow, Friday, with rainfall expected, which may be heavy at times in the north, central, and southwestern regions of the Kingdom, accompanied by thunderstorms and hail.
The Public Security Directorate also emphasized the commitment to preventive guidelines and adopting proper conduct to reduce accidents of all kinds through the following:
- It is necessary to stay away from the sides of valleys, places where flash floods occur, and low-lying areas.
- Be careful while driving vehicles on roads experiencing rainfall, for fear of skidding, and stay away from water accumulations and do not risk crossing them on foot or by vehicle.
- It is necessary to follow safe practices when using heating appliances of all kinds, not to refuel them while they are lit, not to leave them lit while sleeping, and to provide proper ventilation for homes continuously.
- Inspecting and maintaining rainwater drainage channels to reduce water levels and prevent flooding of homes.
- It is necessary to provide a water suction motor to avoid water accumulation in the lower floors of houses located below street level.
- Stabilizing objects that could be blown away by strong winds and gusts
- Do not hesitate to call the unified emergency number 911 if needed.
