Jordan: Thank God, there are no signs of new heat waves this week, and normal summer weather will continue.

Arab Weather - Weather maps from the Arab Weather Regional Center indicate that temperatures will remain around or slightly below their average for this time of year until at least the middle of the week. The weather will be typical summer weather in the mountainous and western regions of the Kingdom, while it will remain hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, the city of Aqaba, and parts of the Badia, with clouds appearing at medium and high altitudes, especially in the south and east of the Kingdom.

There are no indications that the Kingdom will be affected by any heat waves in the coming days.

Maximum temperatures around 30 degrees Celsius in the capital, Amman.

God willing, maximum temperatures in the coming days are expected to be in the early thirties Celsius in major cities, including the capital, Amman. They may be lower in some cities and neighborhoods, especially mountainous ones, while they will exceed the mid-thirties Celsius in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and the city of Aqaba, in addition to the Badia regions.

Daily activity of northwesterly winds in the afternoon

Moderate westerly to northwesterly winds will blow across the Kingdom in the coming days, becoming active during the afternoon and evening hours, causing dust storms in desert and open areas.

The pleasant nights continue as before.

Nighttime temperatures will remain lower than previous nights, and the weather will remain very pleasant in most parts of the Kingdom during the night hours, especially in the high mountainous areas and the plains. However, it will tend to be cold in many areas during the late night hours and dawn.

No heat waves during the third week of August 2025

According to current data, there are no indications that the Kingdom will be affected by any heat waves during the third week of August, thank God. However, there will be temporary spikes in temperatures during some periods, especially towards the end of the week.

This is due to the shape and nature of the prevailing weather systems in the northern hemisphere. Upper air systems coming from Eastern Europe are shifting the upper subtropical high toward the east, causing heat waves and the heat dome to move away from the Levant and Jordan during this week. Therefore, temperatures are not expected to be significantly below normal, despite their rise at times.
