Arab Weather - Parts of the Ruwaished area in the east of the Kingdom and the northeastern Badia region in Mafraq Governorate were exposed to a severe thunderstorm this afternoon and evening, Saturday, which resulted in heavy rainfall accompanied by the development of a hailstorm and heavy hail falling in unprecedented sizes.
The heavy hail, of unprecedented size, caused damage to property and livestock. Below are scenes from the hailstorm that affected the eastern part of the Kingdom on Saturday evening:
