Arab Weather - Weather maps in Arab Weather and computer simulation results indicate the continuation of successive low-pressure systems over the western and central Mediterranean regions during the coming days, as these weather systems cause heavy rainfall over the Maghreb countries and Northwest Africa, accompanied by strong winds and a noticeable drop in temperatures, in addition to their stronger and more direct impact on the western and southern regions of the European continent.
These low-pressure systems move rapidly eastward and northeastward, reaching the eastern Mediterranean. However, during this transition, they are unable to reach Jordan or Palestine, and these countries remain far from their direct effects, as their paths veer northward to directly affect Turkey, while their effects extend to Syria and Lebanon, where rainfall is expected, God willing.
The main reason these low-pressure systems did not reach the Kingdom is due to the dominance of very strong high-pressure systems over the northeastern regions of the African continent, in addition to large areas of the northern Arabian Peninsula, with the influence of these high-pressure systems extending to the southern Levant, including Jordan and Palestine.
High pressure systems in the atmosphere are similar to mountains, as they act as a barrier that prevents low pressure systems from deepening and advancing towards the region, forcing them to veer north towards Türkiye.
As a result, southern Levant, especially Jordan, will remain under the influence of high-pressure systems in the upper atmosphere, leading to stable weather conditions for most of this week, with temperatures generally higher than usual. However, there is a possibility of some rain on Wednesday, God willing, in northern Palestine and northern Jordan.
