Meteorological Authority: Weather warnings of thunderstorms and scorching heat in 5 regions

The National Center for Meteorology issued weather warnings for several regions, including Riyadh, the Eastern Province, and Makkah, warning of a strong heat wave that will raise temperatures to levels approaching 50 degrees Celsius, and rain accompanied by lightning and thunder, along with active winds that will stir up dust and sand and a possible decrease in horizontal visibility.

These warnings will continue until 9:00 PM on Sunday, June 14, 2026, with varying levels of warning between orange and yellow depending on the severity of the weather conditions in each region.

Makkah Region:

• The red alert includes: None.
• Orange alert includes: None
• Yellow alert "Light rain": Taif, Adham, Maysan.

Eastern Region:

• Red alert: None.
• Orange alert "blowing dust": Al-Abilah, Al-Adid, Haradh, Dha'balutan.
• Yellow alert "Heat wave 48 degrees": Many .

Al-Baha region:

• Red alert: None.
• Orange alert: None
• Yellow alert "Light rain": Al-Baha, Al-Qura, Al-Aqiq, Al-Mandaq, Baljurashi, Bani Hassan.

Asir region:

• Red alert: None.
• Orange alert: Men of Alma, Mahayil.   
• Yellow alert "Light rain": Al Majardah, Bariq, Al Namas, Balqarn, Tanomah, Abha, Ahad Rafidah, Khamis Mushait, Al Harjah, Al Farshah, Al Rabwah, Sarat Abidah, Dhahran Al Janoub,

Jazan region:

• Red alert: None.
• Orange alert: None
• Yellow alert "Light rain": Al-Harth, Al-Dayer, Al-Raith, Al-Ardah, Al-Aydabi, Fifa, Haroub

The most prominent expected weather phenomena:

• occasionally strong winds
• Reduced or near-zero horizontal visibility

• Light to moderate rain
