Meteorology: Weather warnings issued Saturday for 11 regions, including Jeddah

The National Center for Meteorology issued a set of weather warnings, including parts of the Makkah region, including Jeddah , in addition to Madinah, Riyadh, Hail, Najran, Tabuk, Asir, Al-Baha, Al-Jawf, the Northern Borders, and the Eastern Province, as a result of being affected by active to sometimes strong winds that stir up dust, sand, and high waves in the coastal areas.

These warnings will continue until 9:00 PM on Saturday, May 23, 2026, with varying levels of warning between orange and yellow depending on the severity of the weather conditions in each region.

Makkah Region:

• The red alert includes: None.
• The orange alert includes: ( Jeddah - strong winds ) Rabigh, Al-Shuaiba, Al-Lith.
• The yellow alert includes: Al-Khurmah, Turbah, Al-Muwayh, Ranyah, Al-Kamil, Khulais.

Medina region:

• The red alert includes: None.
• The orange alert includes: Al-Rais, Yanbu.
• The yellow alert includes: Al-Ais, Al-Ula, Khaybar.

Tabuk region:

• The red alert includes: None.
• The orange alert includes: None.
• The yellow alert includes: Tabuk, Tayma, Al Wajh, Umluj.

Northern Border Region:

• The red alert includes: None.
• The orange alert includes: None.
• The yellow alert includes: Al-Uwayqilah, Arar, Tarif.

Al-Jawf region:

• The red alert includes: None.
• The orange alert includes: None.
• The yellow alert includes: Sakaka, Dumat Al-Jandal, Tabarjal, Al-Qurayyat.

Hail region:

• Red alert includes: None
• Orange alert includes: None
• The yellow alert includes: Al-Hait, Al-Salimi, Al-Shamani, Al-Ghazala, Muwaqq.

Eastern Region:

• The red alert includes : None.
• The orange alert includes: Al-Ahsa, Al-Udayd, Abqaiq.
• The yellow alert includes: Jubail, Khobar, Dammam, Qatif, Ras Tanura.

Riyadh region:

• The red alert includes: None.
• The orange alert includes: Al-Aflaj, As-Sulayyil, Wadi Ad-Dawasir, Al-Hariq, Al-Kharj, Ad-Dilam, Al-Muzahmiya, Hawtat Bani Tamim.
• The yellow alert includes: None.

Asir region:

• The red alert includes: None.
• The orange alert includes: None.
• The yellow alert includes: Al-Amwah, Al-Arin, Bisha, Tathlith, Tarib.

Al-Baha region:

• The red alert includes: None.
• The orange alert includes: None.
• The yellow alert includes: agate.

Najran region:

• The red alert includes: None.
• Orange alert includes: Badr Al Janoub, Thar, Habuna, Habash, Yadma, Najran, Sharurah,
• The yellow alert includes: None.

The most prominent expected weather phenomena:

• Active to occasionally strong winds
• Excited upbringing
• Reduced or near-zero horizontal visibility
• High waves in coastal areas

The center called for caution, especially while driving, and stressed the need to keep up with updates.
