Minister of Agriculture: the elimination of a large percentage of desert locusts in Mudawara, with the support of the Air Force

<p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr">The Minister of Agriculture, Eng. Khaled Hanifat, announced the elimination of a high percentage of desert locusts in the Mudawara region on Saturday; With the support of the Air Force, he pointed out that the air control operations of locusts in that area took place over vast areas that amounted to 7 thousand dunams of field crops.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> He added that the control operations are continuing during the evening and morning periods, using ground spraying for groups that enter irregularly and with medium intensities, and control teams are still conducting survey and exploration operations.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> Regarding the locusts entering Al-Ruwaished area, Al-Hanifat indicated that after the teams&#39; exploration procedures and a survey of desert locusts in Al-Ruwaished areas, medium groups of desert locusts were found in the Rawdat Al-Bandan Reserve, according to what was published by the Hala Akhbar website.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> He said that control measures were taken immediately on Saturday morning, with the participation of five specialized teams, spraying devices were used, and the control was carried out widely.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> He indicated that the exploration teams are working to comb the border areas along the Saudi and Iraqi borders. In anticipation of any entry from the locust swarms and within the framework of readiness to deal with the entry of any groups or swarms.</p>
