Arab Weather - A low-pressure area is still active in the northeastern Arabian Sea, specifically to the east of the Sultanate of Oman and the UAE. The atmospheric disturbance is accompanied by the continued flow of moisture into the Sultanate of Oman, especially in the upper layers of the atmosphere.
The latest satellite images from the Arab Weather app indicate that high and medium clouds are currently affecting eastern and southern Oman, accompanied by scattered showers of rain in some areas.
Arab Weather experts said that several factors contributed to the weakening of the tropical air disturbance in the northeastern Arabian Sea, perhaps the most important of which are the shear winds that weakened the vertical development of clouds, in addition to the presence of a high pressure system and dry northerly winds east of the Arabian Peninsula. The impact of the air disturbance in the coming days is expected to be limited to the flow of quantities of moisture in the upper and middle layers of the atmosphere over parts of the UAE and the Sultanate of Oman, accompanied by the formation of stratus clouds accompanied by the chances of scattered and generally light rain in some areas.
