Arab Weather - Computer simulation results at the Arab Weather Center indicate that the Levant region, especially Syria and Lebanon, will be affected during the night hours of Wednesday/Thursday and on Thursday by the development of unstable weather conditions resulting from the passage of a low-pressure system in the upper atmosphere over Turkish territory and the extension of the effects of this low-pressure system towards the eastern Mediterranean basin, which will result in the formation of rain clouds in several areas of Syria and Lebanon and may affect some areas of Jordan and Palestine.
In detail, starting from Wednesday night and continuing through Thursday, unstable weather conditions will develop over several areas of Syria and Lebanon , especially the western and coastal regions, with rain clouds forming and rain falling on the western regions of Lebanon and the western regions of Syria, including areas such as Latakia and Tartus, with these unstable weather conditions extending towards the interior regions of Syria.
These unstable weather conditions are expected to be accompanied by rainfall that may be heavy at times in some geographical areas, and may be accompanied by hail and thunderstorms at times, leading to the flow of valleys and streams and an increased risk of flash floods and rising water levels.
Regarding Jordan and Palestine, current readings indicate a possibility of rainfall in some northern and central regions during the late hours of Wednesday night and Thursday daytime.
These unstable weather conditions are occurring relatively late in the year and can be considered unusual, as the weather pattern that usually dominates the region during this time of year is characterized by a strong high-pressure system in the upper atmosphere, imposing stable conditions, quite the opposite of what is expected towards the end of the week.
And God knows best.
