Arab Weather - The academic calendar for public education for the year 1446 - 1447 AH, announced by the Ministry of Education, includes three long weekends in addition to official holidays.

This decision came after the Cabinet approved the general timeframe for the academic calendar for the next five years. Public education staff will enjoy one long weekend break in the first semester next year, which falls on 14 Rabi’ al-Akhir 1446 AH, preceded by the National Day holiday on 19-20 Rabi’ al-Awwal 1446 AH.

As for the second semester, it also includes one long weekend break, corresponding to 10-11 Jumada Al-Akhirah 1446 AH, in addition to the Foundation Day holiday on 24 Sha’ban 1446 AH.

In the third semester, there is a long weekend break on the 6th and 7th of Dhul-Qi'dah 1446 AH.
