The Arab Weather app indicated in its latest update today that several Saudi regions will continue to be affected on Sunday, September 14, 2025, by weather fluctuations, thunderstorms, and varying amounts of rainfall. This time, it includes one of the Kingdom's driest regions, the Empty Quarter.
In detail, according to the latest computer modeling outputs available through the Arab Weather app, cumulus clouds are expected to multiply in the afternoon hours across parts of the Rub' al-Khali region, rapidly developing into cumulonimbus thunderstorms, accompanied by showers and downdrafts, increasing the likelihood of dust storms.
At the same time, cumulus clouds will appear, and showers will fall on parts of Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha, and Taif. These regions are expected to witness rainfall of varying intensity, accompanied by thunder and lightning, and may be heavy in limited areas.
