Saudi Arabia Now | Thunderstorms begin to develop in several regions, with rain and hail expected in the coming hours.

Arab Weather App - Satellite images in the Arab Weather app have begun detecting the rapid development of cumulus clouds in the skies over the southwestern part of the Kingdom, particularly in the highlands of Jazan and Asir.

The latest forecasts indicate that this development will continue over the coming hours, with increasing intensity and expansion of cloud cover, gradually creating the opportunity for thunderstorms to fall across the Jazan and Asir regions, parts of Al-Baha, and as far away as Taif and the highlands east of Makkah Al-Mukarramah.

These rains are likely to be heavy at times, accompanied by hail, in addition to thunderstorms and active downwinds, and God knows best.
